Learn the Game of Golf With These Development Programs

Below is a list of programs throughout the state of Tennessee, including regional facilities to learn and develop your game. Children and adults can take advantage of the many offerings.

TGF has programming in 62 of the 95 counties across the state. These programs depend on the participation and donations we receive. We hope you’ll benefit from and support these quality programs.

Youth Programs

Golf House Tennessee Learning Center

Owned and operated by the Tennessee Golf Foundation, Golf House Tennessee, located just south of Nashville, offers classes from the novice to the advanced player.

Tennessee PGA Junior Golf Academy

Since 1973, the Tennessee PGA Junior Golf Academy has provided aspiring young golfers with world class golf instruction provided by many of the nation’s leading PGA golf professionals and NCAA college golf coaches. Over 12,000 young people have been introduced to the game of a lifetime by our dedicated teachers.

The First Tee of Tennessee

The First Tee of Tennessee operates at 61 different locations across the state, with program directors in Nashville, Greater Knoxville, Chattanooga, Memphis and the Tri-Cities. Statewide in 2022, First Tee of Tennessee programming reached almost 40,000 youth, including 2,000 unique juniors through on-site programming. The First Tee of Tennessee employs 43 staff members and 61 volunteer coaches.

Girls Golf Initiatives

Encouraging Girls through quality golf instruction from beginners to advanced golfers, and also creating experiences that show girls just how much fun golf really is! We are helping empower Girls with confidence and leadership skills, and inspiring healthy living.

Leagues & Clinics

PGA Jr. League brings family and friends together around fun, team golf experiences with expert coaching from PGA and LPGA Professionals.

Kids Play Free

PGA Tour winner and Knoxville native, Scott Stallings, has teamed up with the Tennessee Golf Foundation to bring free junior golf to Tennessee. The mission is simple: Provide Tennessee’s youth with unrestricted, free access to the game of golf at multiple facilities, 365 days a year.

PGA HOPE: Helping Our Patriots Everywhere

PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is a flagship program by the PGA of America designed to introduce golf to Veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.
