Never having read an instructional book or taken a golf lesson, Danny Green of Jackson has amassed a record 10 TGA Amateur Player of the Year awards, beginning in 1989. His credits include wins in the U.S. Mid-Amateur (1999), Western Amateur (1997), Pacific Northwest Amateur (2006), three State Amateurs (1993, 2000, 2003), and four State Mid-Amateurs (1994, 2000, 2003, 2004). He played on one Walker Cup team and is the only player in history to have played in the finals of the U.S. Amateur, U.S. Amateur Public Links, and U.S. Mid-Amateur.
