Welcome to Rules 101! Upon completion of this course, you will have a very solid foundational knowledge of the Rules and will be equipped to navigate the majority of Rules situations you might encounter during a round of golf. Rules 101 focuses on the playing Rules, especially those used or encountered most frequently by golfers.

This course is appropriate for anyone new to the game or to the Rules, but also for nearly anyone who does not already have advanced knowledge of the Rules.

2026 Hall of Fame Events Mike Eller, Bob Wolcott to be inducted into the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame in 2026

Franklin, Tenn. (Friday, Oct. 17, 2025)  — The Tennessee Golf Foundation is proud to announce that Mike Eller, PGA  and Bob Wolcott, PGA have been selected as the 2026 inductees into the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame.

With their induction, Wolcott and Eller will become the 59th and 60th members enshrined among the state’s most celebrated champions, leaders, and contributors to the game. The induction ceremony—bringing together family, friends, and members of the golf community—will be held in 2026, with details to be finalized in the coming weeks.

Wolcott and Eller represent the best of Tennessee golf—champions in competition and leaders in service. Their careers reflect not only dedication to personal achievement but also a commitment to inspiring others through mentorship, sportsmanship, and stewardship of the game. By joining the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame, their stories will stand alongside those of the state’s most influential figures, continuing a tradition of excellence and community that defines Tennessee golf.

Golf News Tennessee Golf Foundation and Kids Play Free Partnership Expands Access

Youth on Course – the nonprofit organization providing youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf – is proud to announce a transformative partnership with the Tennessee Golf Foundation and Kids Play Free as it continues its expansion throughout the state.

The partnership signifies a shared commitment to ensuring youth throughout Tennessee have affordable access to golf for generations to come. By combining resources, community relationships, and a passion for creating opportunity, the organizations will integrate the successful Kids Play Free program – founded by PGA TOUR professional Scott Stallings – into the Youth on Course network that provides rounds of golf for $5 or less at participating courses.

2026 Hall of Fame Events David Ingram, Mike Nixon to be inducted into the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame in May

The Tennessee Golf Foundation is excited to formally announce the two inductees who will make up the 2025 class of the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame!
Businessman and philanthropist David Ingram, as well as competitor and industry professional Mike Nixon, will become the 57th and 58th members of the distinguished group. The induction ceremony will be held May 28, 2025 during a private ceremony at Belle Meade Country Club in Nashville.
